1.4 bln euros approved by EU for 90,000 Greek SMEs, says Georgiadis

Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Monday said that the European Commission’s approval of some 1.14 billion euros’ worth of program modifications for Greece are expected to benefit approximately 90,000 small and medium-sized enterprises against the negative effects of the coronavirus crisis.

The Minister was speaking about the record-time approval of thirteen 2014-2020 Regional Operational Programmes and two national Operational Programmes in Greece. These modifications make 1.14 billion available to address the effects of the coronavirus crisis in the Greek economy through the funding of entrepreneurship support actions.

Georgiadis was attending a Monday event held by the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen & Merchants (GSEVE) on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
