Bulgaria’s industrial producer price index (PPI) decreased by an annual 3.1% in August, after falling by 2.1% in July, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday.
The year-on-year drop in the PPI index in August reflected a 3.8% decline of prices in the utilities sector, NSI said in a statement.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial producer prices decreased by 0.7% in the month under review.
The industrial PPI on the domestic market declined by 1.9% year-on-year and fell 0.5% on a monthly comparison basis. The industrial PPI on the non-domestic market decreased by 4.9% year-on-year and was 1.0% lower month-on-month.
