Bulgaria had a government debt-to-GDP ratio of 25.3% in the third quarter of 2020, the second-lowest among EU member states, after Estonia, the bloc’s statistical office Eurostat said, quoting provisional data.
Bulgaria had the second-lowest debt-to-GDP ratio in the EU in the second and in the first quarter as well, of 21.3% and 20.3%, respectively.
Among EU-27, Greece posted the highest government debt-to-GDP ratio, of 199.9%, Eurostat said in a statement last week.
