Bulgaria posted the sharpest annual decline in industrial production among EU member states in Southeast Europe in August – by 5.6%, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial output in Bulgaria rose 0.7% in August, below the EU average increase of 1.0%, the European statistical office said in a statement.
Industrial output in Romania decreased by 3.4% on the year in August, while in Slovenia and Croatia it fell by 1.8% and 1.2%, respectively.
Elsewhere in SEE, Greece’s industrial production decreased by an annual 3.9% in the month under review.
