Bulgaria’s 9-mo c/a surplus falls to 1.1%/GDP

Bulgaria’s current account was in surplus of 651.9 million euro ($774.2 million) in the first nine months of 2020, compared to a surplus of some 2.1 billion euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Tuesday.

The current account surplus in the January-September period of this year was equivalent to 1.1% of Bulgaria’s projected 2020 gross domestic product (GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly report.
