Bulgarian municipally-owned company Public Transport Ruse said that its 14.25 million levs ($8.7 million/7.3 million euro) tender for the purchase of 15 new trolleybuses has attracted five offers.
Bids were filed by Turkey’s Bozankaya Otomotiv Makina, Czech-based Skoda Electric, Bulgaria’s Avto Engineering Holding Group and Excelor Holding, as well as private individual Vasil Kalev, the public transport company servicing Ruse municipality said in a notice to the public procurement agency last week.
The project will benefit from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020.
The initial tender for the contract was cancelled in October 2020 due to several technical errors in the tender documentation. The procedure was subsequently relaunched in November 2020.
