Growing sales and expanding product portfolio, as well as the large number of trades people and clients create a necessity of a solution which lets managers quickly and easily access the entire information they need in an aggregating application made for that purpose.
This is the reason why the leading player in Bulgaria’s snack business Intersnack Bulgaria has decided to start working with business intelligence system QlikView. The software was implemented by Bulgarian consultancy Balkan Services, and this was the company’s 50th customer in the country that had chosen business intelligence platform QlikView.
Intersnack Bulgaria is part of German Intersnack Group. The group is an established leader in the snack and nut sector, with positions in 32 European countries. In Bulgaria the company is a leader on the snack market with the brands of Chio Chips, Chipi, Pomber.
“Intersnack chose a solution that is implemented by Balkan Services because the availability of reliable and timely information is an extremely important condition regarding the efficient management of a company in crisis times. So the qualitative and fast implementation of a BI solution was among our top priorities when I started working for Intersnack in 2011,” said Yanko Krandarov, general manager at Intersnack for Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia.
The consultants of Balkan Services, together with the management of Intersnack Bulgaria, created an application which accumulates data from several important systems in the company, including Microsoft Dynamics Navision, trades people’s mobile devices, information from budgets and targets, etc. By using several special dashboards, which show synthesized, graphically displayed information, key performance indicators and reports, users from different departments are now able to easily keep their eyes on the overall performance of the company and KPIs, and by only a few clicks they can make detailed analyzes to the deepest levels. These dashboards offer the opportunity to immediately discover variances from the desired development direction, as well as to discover the reasons behind these variances. This enables the managers to quickly make efficient decisions on the basis of accurate and timely information in a dynamic environment.
An additionally developed functionality of the application is the optimization and analysis of mobile trade activities and the entire planning and monitoring of routes.
“The solution Balkan Services built helps us to continuously improve the efficiency of our existing trade network – the most important asset of the company,” said Nikolay Apostolov, sales director with Intersnack Bulgaria.
