CLIENTS OF THE GLOBUL WAZ’UP SERVICE FOR MOBILE ACCESS, TO SOCIAL NETWORKS, CHAT & EMAIL AT OVER 25,000

Subscribers of the GLOBUL WAZ’UP service which offers affordable, fast and convenient access to social networks, email and chat via mobile phone now number more than 25,000.

The WAZ’UP service, which was launched in October 2010, allows users to access their accounts at various social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, email on-the-go from the most popular international and Bulgarian providers, as well as to IM services like ICQ, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and others. WAZ’UP users also enjoy automatic push e-mail option and with personal calendars and contact lists and up to 100 МB for storage and sharing of files.

Usage data showed that some 48% of all WAZ’UP subscribers use the service to access their social network accounts with Facebook being the most popular and most visited network, followed by Twitter and YouTube. About 47% of the subscribers access various chat and IM services via WAZ’UP. Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Are the most popular email services while Dir.bg, abv.bg and mail.bg remain the most popular Bulgarian email service providers.

The WAZ’UP service is available via almost all mobile phone brands and models available on Bulgarian market. The service is very user friendly and easy to use both on smartphones and middle to lower class handsets and is available as a stand-alone mobile application or via the MyGLOBUL WAP portal (http://wap.globul.bg). Mobile internet traffic within the application and the WAP portal is free of charge. Statistics show that more than 58% of the WAZ’UP subscribers prefer the WAP portal to access the service.

WAZ’UP is available at monthly fee of BGN 7.90 (VAT incl.) and new subscribers enjoy the first month free of charge. To activate the service, users must send a free-of-charge SMS to short number 1771. Then, users will receive SMS with a link to the MyGLOBUL WAP portal where they must select “Activate”. After a successful activation of the service, users will receive their WAZ’UP user name and password via SMS.
