Finance Minister Christos Staikouras will take part in the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank via video call on Monday.
In the meeting’s framework the minister will take part on Monday at a closed discussion on the fiscal policy in the developed European economies along with the General Director of IMF Kristalina Georgieva. Additionally, on Friday 16 October he will take part at a teleconference with the new director of the European department of the Fund Alfred Kammer.
In parallel, Staikouras will hold meeting via the internet with investing and banking groups as HSBC, CitiGroup, Nomura, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, Morgan Stanley, Barclay’s and Pimco.
Finally, he will take part in the works of the Finance Ministers Alliance for Climate Actions in which Greece is members from 2019. It is noted that the Alliance’s aim is the promotion of strong collective actions related with the climate change and its repercussions.
