GLOBUL and GERMANOS announced their fourth joint Drive Safely, Use Hands-Free! advisory campaign for safe use of mobile phones behind the wheel and responsible driving. The campaign was launched with a special event held in front of Sofia’s St. Alexander Nevski Memorial Church.
GP2 Series driver and Formula 1 hopeful Vladimir Arabadjiev once again will be the official ambassador of the campaign. Sofia Traffic Police will be the official partner of the campaign and will also organize a special initiative for encouraging drivers to use hands-free devices.
During the event, GLOBUL Corporate Affairs Director Mr. Yassen Guev presented hands-free devices to the Traffic Police Department Commissioner Vanio Stoevsky, as well as to the Traffic Police Chief Inspector Lyubka Marinova and to the traffic policemen who took part in the event.
“As a socially responsible company that has signed the European Road Safety Charter, we would like to appeal to all citizens to drive carefully and reasonably. Although mobile phones are significant part of our everyday life, GLOBUL wants to remind that the use of hands-free devices is not just a necessity but also an expression of responsibility.” – said Yassen Guev, Corporate Affairs Director in GLOBUL.
Drive Safely, Use Hands-Free! initiative will continue with radio, internet and press advertising campaign, and with distribution of stickers and leaflets with advices for safe driving in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas.
