Within their joint Drive Safely! Use hands-free! national campaign, GLOBUL and GERMANOS now distribute leaflets with tips for safe driving and car stickers with the slogan of the initiative at central junctions and boulevards in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas.
The campaign is held for a sixth consecutive year aiming to encourage responsible driving and use of hands-free devices behind the wheel, and to help improving road safety in the country. During the campaign, leaflets and stickers will be distributed at central boulevards, pedestrian areas and junctions, as well as at parking areas of shopping malls and at EKO gas stations in the four cities.
The leaflets give useful driving tips and provide list of sanctions for road traffic offences stipulated in the Bulgarian Road Traffic Act.
The ambassador of this year’s Drive Safely! Use hands-free! campaign is the four-time rally champion and GLOBUL Rally Team driver Krum Donchev, while the Union of Bulgarian Motorcyclists is the official partner of the initiative. The 2012 campaign targets novice drivers who do not yet have enough driving experience. So far, partners of GLOBUL & GERMANOS safe driving campaign were Sofia Municipality, Sofia Auto Transport, Sofia Traffic Police and the leading taxi company OK SuperTrans.
