GLOBUL will remain official sponsor of the premier Bulgarian football club PFC CSKA until the end of the 2012-2013 season, it was reported at a joint GLOBUL/CSKA news conference held today in Sofia.
The 31-time Bulgarian champions CSKA men’s and junior teams will continue to have GLOBUL trade mark on their jerseys and the mobile operator will advertise on the club’s home ground, the Bulgarska Armia Stadium. The contract also envisages opportunities for joint commercial offers for the millions of CSKA fans in Bulgaria.
As before, the sponsorship agreement offers various bonuses for the club depending on the team’s performance in Bulgarian championship, the European club tournaments and in the games against arch-rivals PFC Levski Sofia.
GLOBUL and CSKA commenced their partnership in 2009 and in 2010 presented the first co-branded mobile phone, especially produced for the CSKA fans, the Fan Phone 1948.
During the event, GLOBUL Chief Executive Officer Mr. Haris Kotsibos presented a check for BGN 25,000 to CSKA management – contract bonus for the CSKA win over PRC Levski on October 28.
„The partnership with a club like CSKA is a privilege for us and it is part of GLOBUL’s policy in support of Bulgarian sports and Bulgarian football. The history of this club, the class it is showing as well as the good relationship we already have with the club made us extend this co-operation agreement, we wish CSKA all the best in the games to come”, Mr. Kotsibos commented.
