GLOBUL SUPPORTS CHARITY SKI EVENT UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF PRINCE ALBERT II

GLOBUL will support the sixth charity show World Star Ski Event, which will be held on 27 and 28 January 2012 in Bansko. The initiative is organized by the charity association of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco together with the Bulgarian Ski Federation and aims at raising funds for underprivileged children.

Within the initiative, world-known athletes supporting the A.S. STAR TEAM FOR THE CHILDREN M.C. will compete in parallel slalom and biathlon demonstration events. H.R.H. Prince Emmanuelle Filiberto of Savoy, the F1 drivers Riccardo Patrese and Giancarlo Fisichella, five time Alpine Ski World Cup overall champion Marc Girardelli and the Bulgarian top athletes Petar Popangelov, Hristo Stoichkov, Stefka Kostadinova, Ekaterina Dafovska and Irina Nikulchina will join the star team. Traditionally, a charity gala dinner will be held at the end.

GLOBUL will award the children who achieve best results in the ski races with GLOBUL Q3 smartphones and other prizes. The company will also provide a jersey signed by the Golden Ball winner and PFC Litex coach Hristo Stoichkov for the charity lottery. All funds raised in the lottery will be donated to disadvantaged children.

The charity initiative of the A.S. STAR TEAM FOR THE CHILDREN M.C. will be held for the first time in Bulgaria. So far the association has organized 32 such events in various sports – skiing, soccer, golf, F1, motocross and others. The main purpose of these events is to promote sports among children, to encourage young talents and to raise funds for underprivileged children.
