GLOBUL is official partner of the 2011 IKAR Awards, presented by the Union of Bulgarian Actors for achievements in theater. This will be the third time for GLOBUL to support the IKAR awards.
The award ceremony will be held on the World Theater Day, March 27, at the Ivan Vazov National Theater. On behalf of GLOBUL, the company’s Advertising & Communication Director Mrs. Galina Chuleva will have the honour to hand-in the Best Scenography award. The nominees in this category are Vassil Abadzhiev for Faust (Theater-Music Production Center – Varna), Ognyana Serafimova for Mr. Kolpert (Sofia Drama Theater) and Chavdar Gyuzelev for Cyrano de Bergerac (Ivan Vazov National Theater).
Traditionally, the Sofia Theater Festival is held within the week before the IKAR awards ceremony, during which the audience can see all IKAR-nominated production. This year the festival started on March 19 with the Plovdiv Theater’s Autumn Sonata, starring Ivana Papazova, the Best Actress nominee. Sofia theaters will perform their shows on their own stages while Sofia Drama Theater and Ivan Vazov National Theater will host the productions from theaters outside Sofia.
