For a fifth year in a row, GLOBUL is an official partner of the IKAR 2013 awards and the Sofia Theatre Festival which will be held from March 19 to 27 with the aim to present the best achievements in dramatic arts for 2012.
The award ceremony will take place at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre on the World Theater Day, March 27. On behalf of GLOBUL, the company’s Corporate Affairs Director Mr. Yassen Guev will have the honor to present the Best Scenography award. The nominees in this category are Elena Shopova and Nikola Nalbantov for the visual performance of the ProText5 (a project of the 36 monkeys Contemporary Alternative Art Organization); Marieta Golomehova for Built-in (Plovdiv Puppet Theatre) and Nikola Toromanov, Daniela Lyahova and Venelin Shurelov for the scenography of Hamlet (Ivan Vazov National Theatre).
Among the performances nominated for the IKAR 2013 are Life is Beautiful, Hamlet, Medeya – my mother, Uncle Vanyo, The Alleater, and The Tale for the Wanderer King among the puppet productions.
This year the IKAR awards are presented in 17 categories including best leading and supporting actor and actress, debut, staging, technical implementation, scenography, music and others. The prestigious awards are presented annually by the Union of Bulgarian Actors for achievements in theater, circus and cabaret art.
