GLOBUL WELCOMES TEN NEW SCHOLARS

GLOBUL welcomed ten new scholars in the company with an official ceremony held at the operator’s headquarter. For a fifth consecutive year, GLOBUL gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience in real business environment, to enrich their knowledge and to be offered a job in the company.

For the fisrt time this year, GLOBUL granted ten scholarships to talented students in the fields of Telecommunications & IT, Marketing, Law, Finance and Human Resources from various universities in Bulgaria – Technical University of Sofia, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, New Bulgarian University and University for National and World Economy.

The selected scholars will join GLOBUL team in the following divisions: Products and Services, Strategic Finance, Advertising & Communication, Legal Affairs, Network Implementation, Operation & Maintenance, Network Service Management and Planning, Radio & Transmission, Switching & Services, Human Resources and Administration.

The ten scholars will receive a monthly scholarship until obtaining their Bachelor Degrees and will also participate in the annual operator’s summer Traineeship Program. For the first time this year, scholars will also have the opportunity to gain practical professional experience by working three hours per week in the company under the assistance of a personal tutor outside of the Scholarship Program.

The launch of the fifth GLOBUL Scholarship Program was announced in November 2010 during the Career Days forum at the Technical University of Sofia. The scholars were chosen after precise selection of more than 200 applications and additional tests and interviews. Over 30% of all participants in the Traineeship and Scholarship Programmes later join GLOBUL team.
