GLOBUL and the international environmental organization WWF will hold Nature Parks Open Doors Day this Sunday, October 16. The initiative is organized for the first time within long-term partnership of GLOBUL and WWF aimed at preserving Bulgaria’s wild nature.
During the Nature Parks Open Doors Day all visitors will have the opportunity to take a walk in the parks’ less familiar routes accompanied by a guide who will tell them interesting facts about the respective protected area and its inhabitants. The initiative’s main purpose is to remind that preserving the nature parks depends only on their visitors’ responsible behavior.
As part of their new joint initiative, GLOBUL and WWF also organized a special educational game on the operator’s official Facebook fan-page. Every day between October 4 and 15 a question about the nature parks’ protected species is posted on the page wall. All Facebook users who like GLOBUL page and answer correctly to at least one question in the game can win one of the three Sony Ericsson J10i Elm eco-phones or a weekend for two in one of the nature parks. The winners’ names will be published on the fan-page on October 18.
The initiative will cover all the 11 Bulgarian nature parks including Vitosha, Rila Monastery, Zlatni Piasatsi, Vrachanski Balkan, Rusenski Lom, Strandzha, Shumen Plateau, Bulgarka, Sinite Kamuni, Persina and Belasitza. Detailed information on the rally points and the initiative start time at each park is available at WWF website.
