Greece’s job vacancy rate was the lowest in the EU in the third quarter of the year, the bloc’s statistical office said on Tuesday.
Among the member states for which comparable data are available, Greece had a job vacancy rate of 0.5% in the July-September period of 2020, well below the EU average of 1.7%, Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Bulgaria was one of two member states, along with France, to show a year-on-year increase in job vacancy rate – by 0.1%.
The job vacancy rate measures the proportion of total posts that are vacant, expressed as a percentage.
