HBCB Business Forum reveals HR’s role in leading business to economic recovery and growth

On March 30, 2011, in Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan took place the HBCB business forum under the title “Management and HR – a Strategic Partnership in the Post Crisis Period. Restart the Engine!” More than 130 members, friends, government representatives and representatives of the Embassy of Greece in Bulgaria, were attracted by the topics and the useful information, presented by the speakers. Participants were informed on thе trends thаt wіll impact thе operating environment іn thе future.

The CEOs position was presented by Mr. Stamatios Theodoropoulos, General Manager of Chipita Bulgaria. According to him, HR priority actions in the post crisis period are: employ the best and pay them accordingly, look for loyalty, integrity, a high energy drive and look for result-oriented people.

According to Ms. Daniela Mihovska, HR manager of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, while we still need to manage tough the agenda of today, we need to provide our employees the freedom and the space to establish foundations of sustainable future. She presented the tree must accomplish steps to start creating the future: audit the current status, revive the spirit and evaluate.

Ms. Zlatina Kushkieva, Manager, Management Consulting of Deloitte Bulgaria, stated that success in today’s marketplace requires careful analysis of both internal and external talent supply and demand patterns, in order to evaluate and implement a mix of solutions relevant to the issues in facing the industry.

According to Ms Rada Yosifova, Human Capital Officer, PwC, HR managers have to understand the opportunities, perspectives and issues derived from the multi-generations within the companies, to define the right strategy for technology, social media and communication in the future, to understand the new leadership model of the future that will capture the hearts and minds of employees and to define the strategies we will need to improve job flexibility and flexible workforce.
