Over 800 distinguished guests – members and friends – joined the HBCB New Year’s Party and marked together a great beginning of the New Year. The annual New Year’s Party of the Hellenic Business Council took place yesterday at Sheraton Sofia Hotel, in the beautiful Royal Hall.
The event was opened by the HBCB Chairman Mr. Ioannis Polykandriotis. He welcomed the guests, thanked them for the commitment to HBCB mission and the continuous support. He stressed that HBCB became a very reputable, well established and respected organization in Bulgaria.
Among the guests were the Ambassador of Greece in Sofia, H.E. Mrs. Danae-Madeleine Koumanakou, the Ambassador of Cyprus in Sofia H.E. Mr. Stavros Amvrosiou, the Deputy Minister of Economy Mr. Evgeni Angelov, the President of Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, the Director of Bulgaria Invest Agency Mr. Borislav Stefanov, the Head of the Economic & Commercial Section of the Embassy of Greece Mrs. Yoanna Sotirakou, the Defence, Military and Naval Attache of the Embassy of Greece in Sofia Col. Fotios Plakogiannis and the Air Attache Col. Christos Glynos.
The talented vocal singers Nedeliana and Ralitsa and DJ Rumen took care for the good mood of the guests. Everybody enjoyed the delicious food with Greek flavor and some traditional specialties. The dances continued till midnight.
The traditional Vassilopita, provided by Alma Libre Bulgaria was cut, according to the Greek tradition for health and prosperity. The prizes, hidden in the Vassilopita were: four nights on a half board basis accommodation for two persons in Porto Carras, Chalkidiki, four nights accommodation for two persons in Sport Hotel in Bansko, three nights accommodation for two persons in Chalkidiki, complimentary weekend stay for two persons in a Junior Suite in Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan, Buffet Breakfast inclusive, complimentary Sunday Brunch for two persons at Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan, two nights accommodation for two persons in Premier Luxury Mountain Resort in Bansko and two SOFIA-ATHENS-SOFIA tickets.
