IKEA IS AWARDED FOR INVESTMENT OF THE YEAR BY FORBES MAGAZINE

IKEA Bulgaria received a special prize for investment of the year in the Forbes annual business awards. The award was given by Traicho Traikov, minister of economy energy and tourism of Bulgaria on a grand ceremony yesterday evening in Sheraton hotel in Sofia.

The award was recieved by Mr. Teo Mouratidis, store manager of IKEA in Bulgaria. He accepted it on behalf of all the employees of IKEA and expressed his gratitude to the organizers. Mr. Mouratidis mentioned, that “the award is a proof for the fact, that IKEA implemented successfully in Bulgaria the vision of the company to create better everyday life for many people and will continue the efforts in offering the best possible experience every day. IKEA believes in the perspectives for development of the Bulgarian market and will continue to invest not only in the development of the company, but also in the improvement of products and services”

IKEA opened its first store in Bulgaria in September this year. The total investment of the company is over 50 million euro. As it was already announced, IKEA expects 1.5 million visitors in the store during the first year.

The prestigious Forbes business awards are given for the first time in Bulgaria. Over 90 companies participated in the competition; they applied in 9 different categories. The short-listed companies and the winners were chosen by a jury of 8 influential specialists. Organizers specifically mentioned their aim by these awards to promote good business practices in Bulgaria.
