At the Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria, we are pleased to highlight the achievements, initiatives and good practices of our member companies that contribute to sustainable business development and create long-term value for the Bulgarian economy and society.

In this context, we share a recent interview with Jacklin Tzochevа , Corporate Communications, Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability Director at Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, published by ESGnews.

Marking the 30th anniversary of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria’s production centre in Kostinbrod and the 20th anniversary of its production centre in Bankya, Tzocheva reflects on the transformation of the company’s approach to sustainable production, continued investment in local communities and its ambitions for the decades ahead.

Today, both production facilities operate with 100% electricity from renewable sources — a milestone that demonstrates how sustainability has evolved from a corporate priority into measurable action.

The interview also highlights “A Drop of Life for the Forest”, a joint initiative by Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria and Fantastico aimed at restoring forest areas severely affected by wildfires. Until 16 October 2026, for every package of Bankya or Rosa water purchased at Fantastico supermarkets, the two companies will donate €0.10 towards planting nearly 12,000 trees, including subsequent care for the young saplings.

As Jacklin Tzochevа emphasizes:

“For our team, sustainability is not a promise, but real results.”
