The hotel once again surprised the children from the local centre for people with disabilities in Bansko with delicious treats and exciting activities.
Bansko, 8 June 2016 – At the beginning of June, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko followed what has now become an annual tradition. The hotel’s management team again invited the kids and the youngsters from the local centre “Zdravets” for people with multiple disabilities for a memorable visit and for joint celebration of the International Children’s Day.
At 10:00 in the morning on 1 June, the kitchen team welcomed the children with delicious sandwiches, healthy refreshments and sweet treats at the foyer Bella Vista, which was specially decorated for the occasion. Another exciting surprise for the day came from the representatives of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, who also visited, and evoked many smiles and positive emotions from the children with a singing robot. It performed a joyful song and a dance to congratulate the young visitors on the special event.
A few hours later, the programme continued with more fun at the hotel’s spa centre. The children had the chance to swim and play in the indoor pool and Jacuzzi under the supervision and care of the attentive Kempinski The Spa team. At the end of the day, the children received an additional gift from the hotel – a delicious big cake to take home with them as a sweet memory from the joyful day. In return, they gave a thank-you present to the hotel’s management – a picture with colourful applications, made personally by them.
On occasion of the visit, the General Manager of the hotel, Mr Carsten Seubert, commented: “For many years, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko has been committed to actively supporting disadvantaged children and other community causes related to the region. We believe that being caring citizens is more than a corporate policy or a social responsibility programme. It is above all the human mission of each and every one of us. Seeing the joy in the children’s eyes today, on this very special holiday, has proven that even the simplest gesture of kindness makes a difference and is worth it all.”
