On 1st February 2013 the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko became one of the 40 Kempinski properties which are proud to name its Spa centre “Kempinski The Spa”.
Kempinski The Spa is a journey inspired by the European cycle of the seasons. Drawing on the elemental wisdom of nature, their treatments both invoke and restore the body’s natural equilibrium.
Surrounded by pristine nature and located at the foot of the majestic Pirin Mountain, Kempinski The Spa offers the ultimate spa experience combined with European flair. From the moment guests enter the spa, their senses come alive to incredible scents and soft music. The expertly trained therapists and their healing hands lead guests into a place of rejuvenation and relaxation. Guided by the seasonal elements of winter, spring, summer and autumn the guests achieve a perfect balance of both body and mind. Each treatment is customised for the guest’s desired outcome and delivered with products made from natural ingredients to relax and pamper the skin, including Elemental Herbology oils for the Signature Seasonal massages and St Barth’s and Thalgo for facials and body treatments.
Each Kempinski The Spa has its own special Signature Treatment. Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko’s Signature Treatment features an herbal body scrub, which enhances circulation and restores smooth looking skin. The treatment also utilises a perfect combination of honey and local herbs. The Spa journey continues with an exhilarating Hot Ceramic Tile body massage for deep purification and restoration.
The new Kempinski The Spa is led by the newly appointed Spa Manager Mrs Raquel Lobine. She brings extensive hands-on experience, with over 10 years in the spa industry as a therapist, a spa trainer and a spa manager. “Around the world there is growing interest in changing the way we take care of ourselves – not just our bodies, but also our mind and spirit. That is what Kempinski The SPA is here for – to give our guests the ultimate understanding of their own inner self. That’s why we ask questions to our guests about what they want to feel after their treatments. In our four seasonal massages, Winter Warmer is a perfect recommendation for our guests, not just because of the unique products, from Elemental Herbology, and amazing rituals that makes Kempinski The SPA journey an experience to remember”, said Raquel.
Kempinski The Spa guests can enjoy the gorgeous view of Pirin Mountain from the indoor and outdoor pools or relax in the steam baths or saunas. The hotel offers two types of each of them – the two steam baths being the Hammam and the aroma steam bath and the two saunas being the Finnish Sauna and the Bio Sauna. The indoor pool has an impressive length of 20 m and is 8 m wide, with depths ranging from 1.60 to 1.65, making it the perfect place for a morning swim before skiing. With 1200 sqm of space the spa centre is one of the biggest in the region.
The state-of-the-art facility also includes 12 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, an outdoor tennis court, table tennis and a unique snow room. Couples can enjoy massages at the same time in the specially designed couples massage room. The gym offers everything guests need to stay in perfect shape. Exclusive for Bulgaria and only at Kempinski The Spa, guests can use the AlphaSphere – a multi-dimensional experience of sound, light, warmth and movement. The AlphaSphere was designed by the award-winning European designer Arti Sha, and is an amazing piece of furniture that is specifically made to satiate your senses. The vibration and the gentle warmth offered by the boat-shaped AlphaSphere chair will relax you in a way that you’ve never experienced before. The soothing illumination is sure to make you experience an extraordinary internal peace. The sound effects can offer relaxation for your auditory senses, easing them from the stress of city life.

The General Manager of the hotel, Mr Athanassios Manos said, “We are very happy that we became a part of the Kempinski The SPA family.
