In September the 22nd World Travel Awards once again honoured Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko as “Bulgaria’s Leading Spa Resort”. The online votes were cast by professionals working within the tourism industry and the public on the organisation’s official website.
The hotel is now an eight-time winner of the coveted award, adding it to its growing list of international trophies. Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko received its first award in the aforementioned category in 2005 followed by 2007, 2008 and 2009, as well as in the past three consecutive years.

Just two days ago, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko also received another prestigious spa-related recognition. The hotel’s luxurious Kempinski The Spa won the accolade for “Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Spa” at the first annual World Spa Awards, following the votes of spa industry senior executives, high-end travellers and market leaders from around the world, cast online on the World Spa Awards’ website. The gala ceremony took place on 14 September at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Vietnam. World Spa Awards’ Managing Director Gina Reynolds said, “What a fantastic evening and congratulations to all our winners. Each and every one of you truly deserves the recognition you have received from our voters around the world. With such a wonderful inauguration, the World Spa Awards will return next year, bigger and better than ever.”

The award-winning Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko features one of the biggest and best equipped spa centers in the region. Known for its signature treatments, authentic Thai massages and state-of-the-art facilities, Kempinski The Spa’s philosophy is inspired by the European cycle of seasons. Extending over 1,200 sq m of space, the centre features 12 treatments rooms, one indoor and two outdoor swimming pools, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi, two types of steam baths- Hammam and Aroma steam bath, two types of sauna- Finnish and Bio sauna, an exclusive-for-Bulgaria AlphaSphere, the most modern energy-screening technology Asyra, an extensive fitness centre, outdoor tennis court and a healthy Vitamin Bar.

On occasion of these prizes, General Manager Mr Carsten Seubert commented, “Receiving two prominent awards in one month has made us all exceptionally proud. They reflect the continuous commitment of our team in providing service excellence that truly goes above and beyond the expectations of our international guests. These achievements are also an important testament to the fact that in addition to our magnificent, high-class ski conditions, our destination offers remarkable spa experiences all year round.”

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is also included again in the ongoing ranking for the World Ski Awards 2015 as a nominee in the category “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel”. For all who wish to support the hotel, voting is open until 25 September 2015 at the following link:
