For a second consecutive year, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko won the coveted accolade for “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel” at the annual World Ski Awards 2014. The winners were announced during the official gala ceremony, which took place on Saturday, 22 November at Hotel A-ROSA Kitzbühel in Austria as part of a three-day programme of entertaining events and activities. More than 200 leading ski tourism experts, professionals and market leaders from all over the world gathered to celebrate the most anticipated evening in the international ski industry. General Manager Athanassios Manos was also present at the event and had the pleasure of accepting the trophy on behalf of the hotel.
“It is a great honour for me to be again a part of this prestigious ceremony,” commented Mr Manos. “All of us at Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko are very proud to be named ‘Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel’ for a second consecutive year. This acknowledgment is valuable because it rewards our continuous dedication and hard work in providing outstanding ski experience to our guests. I would like to say a big thank you to our partners and guests for their recognition and trust, and to our team for their devotion in taking care of the guests. This will certainly reinforce our efforts to stand out on the international market and lead by example as a luxury ski property that provides the very best in every fashion.”
This year’s ceremony brought recognition not only to the hotel, but also to Bansko as a destination. The town was among the winners once again, awarded in the category of “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Resort”. Along with this achievement, Bansko is becoming more and more popular on a global scale. Renowned as the winter capital of the Balkans, the town has already hosted four rounds of the World Ski Cup and is soon to be hosting another one – AUDI FIS Ladies’ Ski WORLD CUP 2015.
