Over 85 campaigns compete for the prestigious trophy Bright Awards 2014

86 campaigns submitted by 20 agencies, 6 companies and organizations take part in the annual PR contest, organized by Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA) – BAPRA Bright Awards. BAPRA announces a 7% increase in the number of the applications comparing to last year. The winners at BAPRA Bright Awards 2014 will be announced at a ceremony on May 13, at Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia. 
This year the most competitive categories are: “Sustainable Development Campaign”, “Communication Campaign of the Year”, “Innovative campaign of the Year” and “Special Event of the Year”. The numbers of the competing projects by category are: 
• Category “Sustainable Development Campaign” – 19 campaigns;
• Category “Communication Campaign of the Year” – 19 campaigns;
• Category “Special Event of the Year” – 18 projects; 
• Category “Innovative campaign of the Year” – 13 campaigns;
• Category “Campaign, implemented by Internal PR Department” – 6 campaigns;
• Category “Communication Campaign in the Public Sector“ – 5 campaigns;
• Category “Agency of the Year“ – 6 agencies;
„We are delighted that this year continues the trend of increasing number of the submitted projects in BAPRA Bright Awards. Really strong PR and communication campaigns participate this year. Although, 2013 was a difficult year to the business of PR in Bulgaria, the quality of the competing projects is a proof that the challenges do not stop us; on the contrary – they have made us bolder and more creative.”, comments Nikolay Nedelchev, Chairman of BAPRA Board 2013-2014.
This year, 20-member jury committee evaluates the most successful PR campaigns in Bulgaria.  All jury members are recognized PR and communication experts worldwide. The Jury Chairman is Mr. David Gallagher, President of the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) and the 2013 Jury President of the PR Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Among the other remarkable jury members are: Christophe Ginisty, an international public relations guru and a specialist of social media, reputation management and crisis communications in the digital age, and founder of the non-profit organization – WebDiversity; Bart de Vries, member of the IPRA Board since 2009; Yanina Dubeykovskaya, PhD, co-Chair of the WCFDavos Committee and Content Director of the World Communication Forum Davos, Switzerland; Dr. Zehra Güngör, The 2014 President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA); John Saunders, Regional President for Fleishman-Hillard Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); Francis Ingham, the Chairman of the jury at BAPRA Bright Awards 2013 and the Chief Executive of the International Communication Consultancy Organization (ICCO) and others.
