960 participants from 87 companies participated in the largest-scale intercompany competition with Postbank as main partner

A total of 240 teams from 87 companies operating in various business sectors took part in the charity relay race, Postbank Business Run 2021, which was held yesterday at Business Park Sofia. This has been the 9th edition of the largest-scale intercompany competition, which was organized once again by Begach Sport Club with the main support of Postbank. The initiative attracted 960 participants; including 29 children aged 4-16. They competed in Kids Run, which was managed by certified coaches under the IAAF programme, Kid’s Athletics. The CEO Dash competition has been organized for the 5th consecutive year, attracting six executive directors from different companies.
The largest-scale team building in Bulgaria was realized in support of two causes. Over BGN 10,000 was raised and will be donated to the Children’s House project of For Our Children Foundation in order to provide temporary family shelter and a chance for a family to the youngest. Funds will be donated also to the Water Way Foundation in order to support children with special needs through kinesiotherapy, water rehabilitation and modified swimming, so that they can grow up as independent adults and get a chance for a fulfilling life.
SAP Top Team of SAP Labs won the relay run with finish time of 1:00:32. BLINK Run Team of BORICA AD was second with finish time of 1:01:21. The third position is occupied by Festo team of Festo Bulgaria with time of 1:01:51. The Fastest Women’s Team award this year went to SAP Tech Girls of SAP Labs who recorded finish time of 1:19:47. Lazy Paws of Concentrix won second place in the category, Panthers of DSK Bank finished third. The CEO Dash competition for CEOs and senior managers was won by Yordan Ginev from Innotec. He ran 1 km for 2:59. Sonya Nikolova from iCard won first place among the ladies in the category with time of 4:40.
The best team of Postbank (Postbank NoName@) performed excellently, finishing 4th with time of 1:04:26. The financial institution participated in the competition with a total of 27 teams.
The main goal of Postbank Business Run is to draw people’s attention to a healthy lifestyle, provoking their desire to win through teamwork and cooperation in the name of a noble cause. This year, everyone, who was not able to attend the event in-person, could watch their colleagues online, as the competition was broadcast live on YouTube. To ensure the safety of the competition, the organizers complied with all Covid-19 measures in line with IAAF competition rules.
