Postbank was awarded in the category “Bank of Tourism” at the annual awards ceremony of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA). The association’s awards were bestowed for the 15th time at an official ceremony, which took place at Hilton Hotel. “Bank of Tourism” award was handed to Mr. Anthony Hassiotis, CEO of Postbank by Mr. Blagoy Ragin, Chairperson and Ms. Elena Ivanova, Deputy Chairperson of BHRA.
“We are very proud and honored to receive such a prestigious acknowledgment for our work in one of the most dynamic sectors of the Bulgarian economy. In 2011, 16% of all new corporate loans of Postbank were given to companies involved in the tourism industry. It is our intention to continue to actively support this sector, being one of the most important and one with the greatest potential for future development.” Mr. Anthony Hassiotis, CEO of Postbank, stated at the ceremony.
Since 1996 BHRA selects the winners of the most prestigious awards with longest history in the field of tourism, which are among the most successful entrepreneurs. Among the guests of this year`s ceremony were Traicho Traikov, Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, officials, representatives of municipalities, partners of BHRA from tourist organizations and the business, leading managers and representatives of the tourist sector as well as members of the association from all over the country.
