Postbank opened its new branch, located at 69 Cherni Vrah Blvd. in Sofia with an official ceremony. The hosts of the event were Anthony Hassiotis, CEO of Postbank, and Petia Dimitrova, Executive Director of Postbank. The branch was inaugurated in the presence of Luben Petrov, Mayor of Vitosha District, Liliana Hristova, Secretary of Lozenetz District, clients and partners of the bank. The Cherni Vrah branch is located in one of the most dynamically developing regions of the capital near a planned metro station. The location offers the full range of financial products and services from the portfolio of the bank.
“Bulgaria is in excellent shape. However, this has not yet been felt by the general population and the business. In this environment, we continue to expand and this new branch confirms our commitment to be closer to our clients”, Mr. Hassiotis commented. “The situation will get substantially better when unemployment starts to decrease, there is more work and more business, and people start to feel more secure about their future. With the opening of this new location we hope to contribute precisely to more job openings and more business.”
Mr. Hassiotis added: “The proposed merger of our group EFG Eurobank with Alpha Bank means that we will be solidly one of the top three biggest banks in Bulgaria. For our clients this means a stronger bank, additional products and services, a wider branch network, being serviced by excellent employees. I would like to point out that after the merger the new bank will continue to be an entirely privately owned financial institution, the leader in Greece and South Eastern Europe, and among the 25 largest banks in all Europe. We consider that Bulgaria has excellent growth prospects and see this country as an important part of our future strategy.”
Postbank has one of the best developed branch networks in the country with over 200 locations in 100 cities. The opening of the new branch is part of the strategy of the bank to develop and optimize its network while continuously improving the access and convenience of its clients.
