Emil Georgiev, Director of the Human Resources Division in Postbank received the national prize “Human Resources Manager – 2010” from Human Resources in Bulgaria and Euro Integration Foundation. The award was given away by the last year’s awarded Ms. Antoaneta Georgieva, Director of Human Resources and Administration in Sofarma Trading AD at a ceremony on January 20 in the Central Military Club. The contest is held for the 7th consecutive year from the Human Resources in Bulgaria and Euro Integration Foundation and Human Resources Magazine and is executed under the auspices of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mr. Totiu Mladenov.
The national award Human Resources Manager – 2010 is given away in 10 categories for personal contribution to the effective management of the most valuable capital – the human resources. The winners in the specified areas are chosen on the basis of information on a conducted survey and a discussion on the nomination offered. The Human Resources Division in Postbank received the prize for the programs for motivation and career development.

The work of the specialists in human resources management and development in our country became more accountable, especially in large companies such as Postbank, with over 3000 employees. In difficult times such as these, we are able to maintain the good performance mainly through the commitment and competence of our people”, said Mr. Emil Georgiev.

The implementation of objective systems and methods in the work with human resources is the determining factor for transforming them into human capital”, commented Senior Fellow PhD Gancho Popov, president of Human Resource in Bulgaria and Euro Integration Foundation.
In 2010 58% of all employees of Postbank participated in at least one of the training programs, offered by Training and Development Department in the Human Resource Division. The total number of training programs, achieved by the bank in 2010 is 350. In 2009 Eurobank EFG Start program was awarded the first place in the Training and Development category by the Bulgarian Human Resource Management and Development Association (BHRMDA).
