Postbank’s CEO Anthony Hassiotis is among the 16 finalists of the prestigious Mr. Economy 2011 Competition, organized by Economy Magazine. The nomination is an outstanding recognition of the work, the results and the achievements of Mr. Hassiotis and the entire team of Postbank. He was selected as a finalist in the category Contribution to the development of the financial sector of the country.
I feel very honored and delighted to be nominated in this category, especially this year – when Postbank celebrates 20 years of successful activity in the Bulgarian market. I believe that we have worked very hard and we have managed to significantly contribute to the country’s financial sector by staying strong, stable and disciplined in our push for growth and development, especially during these difficult economic times. I would also like to thank all of our clients and of course all of my colleagues – 3000 wonderful people, for their efforts and their dedication to our clients and the bank. I am convinced that Bulgaria not only will come out a winner from this crisis but will also be a showcase of fiscal discipline and once again an attractive investment destination.
In closing let me reiterate once more that we are a Bulgarian bank, this is home for us and we will stay here and continue to be an active contributor to the country’s economic and social well-being”, Mr. Hassiotis said.
