Sofia Ring Mall, an investment that is exceeding 120 million EUR, is expected to be completed by July 2013.
Sofia, 03 April 2012. Sofia Ring Mall, the new regional retail development, together with IKEA store will form the biggest retail and entertaining destination in Bulgaria. The shopping center will provide to its customers amazing views towards the city and Vitosha Mountain and a lot of green areas.
Sofia Ring Mall distinguishes with its very strategic location, fast and easy access. The expansion of southern offset of ring road, which is scheduled for the fall of 2012, will provide safe and easy access to a very wide catchment area – over 1 500 000 residents.
This shopping and entertainment conglomerate is scheduled to be completed by July 2013 and its opening is planned for the fall 2013. Sofia Ring Mall will provide together with IKEA over 3500 parking spaces, Sofia Ring Mall features a tenant mix of over 200 stores, including various fashion and sport stores, entertainment facilities, a 10-screen cinema multiplex and other. More than 25 000 sq meters of GLA are dedicated to anchor tenants and more than 20 000 sq meters of GLA to fashion brands. In total we have 69,000 sqm GLA and 172,000 sqm GBA on 3 retail floors.
One of the biggest advantages of Sofia Ring Mall is that it’s a unique cluster of “big box” operators working in synergy with a classical “shopping mall” mix, making it and all-in-one offer catering all needs of visitors.
Having in mind the latest trends and developments in this field, a lot of attention will be pointed to the energy efficiency of the mall, and around 30% of the plot will be dedicated to the green areas. The total investment of the project, including the land and the infrastructure which involves green spaces and assisting roads on the side, is exceeding 120 million EUR.
Already an important part of the retail space of the Sofia Ring Mall is agreed with tenants. Some of them include Piccadilly; Yavor Furniture; Mr.Bricolage; Cine’Grand; Technomarket; Public.
During the presentation of the project Mr. Liberis Moschovitis, General Manager of Sofia Ring Mall, highlighted the regional character of the development and the new experience that will be offered to the visitors. He noted that “the new retail destination in Sofia has been created to provide the important tenants mix, especially with the combination with IKEA making it a new retail destination in the country.”
