Following last year’s tradition, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko actively participated in two social initiatives this month.
On 22 April, the management team once again organised Open Day and invited children from Zdravec, the local centre for children with multiple disabilities. More than 20 kids of different ages visited the hotel for a different and memorable day full of fun and entertainment. At 10:00am, the staff welcomed the little guests at the hotel’s Kid’s Club where they played various games together with them. Some of the children enjoyed their time in the indoor swimming pool under the supervision of Kempinski The Spa team, who took care of their safety. At the end of the morning’s activities, the hotel chefs surprised the children with tasty sandwiches and treats in a specially prepared buffet served at the Bella Vista Bar and Lounge. The children left the hotel happy and the management team promised to keep the tradition alive and to welcome the children again next year. The hotel has continually provided support to the centre over the year. Every December, a hotel team visits the children to spend some time together and to give them Christmas gifts. The hotel doesn’t miss the chance to add more and more activities onto its social responsibility calendar. Last month, the team also donated bed linen and computer hardware to St Panteleimon, a home for the elderly in Draglishte Village.
Later in the afternoon, the hotel took part in the celebration of International Earth Day and organised a tree planting campaign. The management team continued what they started on Earth Day last year and planted six more new lime trees in the garden at the entrance of Bansko. By continuing the hotel’s “green” initiative, the team demonstrated their commitment to the noble cause of protecting the environment and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko’s Mr Athanassios Manos, commenting on the day’s events said, “It is important for us to constantly serve as a good role model and encourage socially responsible behaviour. Our initiatives are inspired by our efforts to be useful to the community in which we live in and to actively take part in them, not only in words but also in action. We will continue undertaking new and various initiatives in the future and we will keep supporting the local community and our nature.”
