The expatriate population of Sofia is gathering on Tuesday, October 4 for another charity fund-raising evening in aid of the Cedar Foundation.
Sponsors of the event are the apartment rental company Cleves and the Hilton in the Community Foundation.
The event will take the form of a ‘pub quiz’ with teams competing for a variety of prizes including a cooking Session for 6 people with The Hilton Executive Chef and tickets to the X Factor final donated by Paprika Latino. It is being held at JJ Murphys at 6 Karnigradska Street.
The Cedar Foundation is a charity which closes down large institutions for children and young people with mental and physical disabilities and creates family-type houses for them in the community. Over the last 3 years the Foundation closed the Institution for mentally disabled children and adults in the village of Gorna Koznitsa, region of Kyustendil and opened family-type homes for the residents in the community.
“The Cedar Foundation is working hard to provide better lives for Bulgaria’s disabled orphans, and we are full of admiration for them,” said Crona Kane from Cleves. “Last time we all raised over 3700 BGN to support their projects. We are determined to beat that next Tuesday.”
The Hilton Sofia has contributed a number of prizes including a one-night stay for two at the hotel, dinner for two at the newly renovated Seasons Restaurant, and tickets for visits at the Hilton’s Health Club.
Raffle prizes have also been donated by British Airways, Cleves, and Paprika Latino, producers of the X Factor.
