Directive 2019/790 on copyright and its related rights in the digital single market was due to be implemented into the legal systems of EU member states by 7 June 2021. Currently, 6 Member States have not taken any measures to transpose the Directive, while in Bulgaria, the transposition could happen in 2023. So, what will change for authors who upload content to content-sharing platforms?
Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 on promoting fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediary services aims to ensure a fair and trustworthy environment for online platforms by preventing potentially disloyal practices. Many businesses use these platforms for their development, but what additional protection would the current regulation provide?
