“Greece held and will continue to hold a leading role in the international tourist map and for this reason we are working systematically and intensively” stated Tourism Minister Haris Theocharis to Athens-Macedonian News Agency on the occasion of the World Tourism Day.
Sending his own message from ANA, Theocharis focused on the achievements of 2020, a special year for the Greek tourism “The tourist market gave vote of confidence to Greece that was one of the most popular tourist destinations for those who chose to travel this year” said Theocharis
We feel vindicated, he said given the fact that we started from point zero and today I can say we made it and this is our basis for the next day when the health storm has subsided.
In terms of the next year’s challenges, the minister referred to the covering of the lost ground for the Greek tourism from the repercussions of the pandemic. “2021 may and will be the beginning of the next day” he concluded.
