The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said that it has awarded a 1.94 million levs ($1.2 million/1 million euro) contract for the supply of a system capable of handling petabytes of data to local company CNsys.
The project benefits from EU funding under operational programme Science and Education for Smart Growth, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said in a notice to the public procurement agency, published on Monday.
The contract was signed on October 5 following a tender which attracted seven offers.
CNsys is a Sofia-based system integrator delivering comprehensive IT solutions.
