On Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, HBCB had the pleasure of hosting its traditional Vassilopita event at the Sofia Balkan Hotel. The evening brought together over 110 HBCB members, including His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Sofia, Mr. Marios Alexios Lymberopoulos, and esteemed representatives from the Embassy.
A key moment of the evening was the ceremonial cutting of the Vassilopita, which was jointly carried out by Ambassador Lymberopoulos and HBCB Chairman Mr. George Satlas, symbolizing unity and prosperity for the year ahead.
Another highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding contributions to our organization. HBCB Chairman Mr. George Satlas presented awards to honor former Chairmen Mr. Christos Katsanis and Mr. Stamatis Theodoropoulos for their leadership and dedication. While Mr. Katsanis was unable to attend in person, his heartfelt message was shared with the audience by HBCB’s General Manager, Mr. Nikos Desypris. Additionally, HBCB General Secretary Mrs. Evelyn Vratsidas awarded former General Secretaries Mr. Prodromos Mavropoulos and Mrs. Kleoniki Georgiadou for their invaluable service.
We were also honored by the presence of HBCB Vice Chairmen Mr. Ioannis Liolios and Mr. Panagiotis Mavridis, as well as former Chairman and current Board Member Mr. George Papakonstantinou, who joined in celebrating this special occasion.
The evening was further enriched by a captivating performance from Mr. Pambos Agapiou’s dance school, which delighted guests with a vibrant blend of Latin, Greek, and Bulgarian dances.
