On 29 February 2012, Bulgarian consultancy Balkan Services is holding a one-day training on business intelligence which will cover the topic “Strategic management through an effective analyses an reporting system”. The event is to take place in the computer cabinet of the Center for education and culture “Iliev” at the American University in Bulgaria, Sofia.
The course aims to introduce the participants to the main issues and the solutions regarding business intelligence (BI) products, which offer ways to monitor key performance indicators, and processing and ad-hoc analyzes of huge amounts of data coming from numerous sources.
During the training the participants are going to have the chance to get to know the full development and implementation cycle of a business intelligence project, including extracting, transforming and loading data (ETL), creating an analytical app, and visualizing information. Analyzes will be carried out in a business intelligence environment through creating reports, budgets, etc., and example final results from business intelligence projects regarding sales analysis, staff efficiency, marketing activities and financial indicators will be visualized.
The course is suitable for managers at all levels, chief accountants from reporting and controlling departments, employees at risk assessment departments, expense controllers and all other business users who work with large data sets.
The practical part of the training will feature software product QlikView, whose convenient and intuitive user interface is suitable for a quick and efficient start with business intelligence.

The registration fee is 180 Bulgarian levs (VAT excluded), however, there is a discount for more than one employee of the same company, as well as for students and representatives of universities.
