HBCB Joins the Digital Trust Forum as an Ecosystem Partner

As businesses become increasingly dependent on digital technologies, one question is more relevant than ever: How can we protect trust in a world of cyberattacks, artificial intelligence, deepfakes and growing digital threats?

On 27 October 2026, the Digital Trust Forum will bring together business leaders, technology experts, policymakers and innovators at the Hyatt Regency Sofia to explore how organisations can build safer, more resilient and trustworthy digital environments.

The event is organised by Sourcelab, in cooperation with the Dutch Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria as Founding Partner.

The Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria (HBCB) is pleased to support this initiative as an Ecosystem Partner, contributing to a broader dialogue on cybersecurity, digital transformation and the challenges facing today’s business community.

Digital Trust Is Everyone’s Business

Cybersecurity is no longer simply a technical issue handled by IT departments. A single fraudulent email, compromised account or convincing AI-generated impersonation can have serious consequences for a company, its employees, customers and business partners.

At the same time, European regulations and emerging technologies are reshaping how businesses verify identities, exchange sensitive information and conduct transactions.

The Digital Trust Forum will address these challenges through practical discussions, real-world perspectives and expert insights, moving beyond theoretical debates to explore what organisations can actually do to strengthen digital trust.

What to Expect

The programme will cover some of the most pressing topics shaping Europe’s digital future, including:

  • Cybersecurity and cyber resilience: Protecting organisations against evolving threats and strengthening their ability to respond to incidents.
  • Artificial intelligence and digital trust: Understanding the risks associated with AI-generated content, impersonation and increasingly autonomous technologies.
  • European Digital Identity Wallets and eIDAS 2.0: Exploring how secure digital identification and authentication are transforming business interactions.
  • Financial security and regulatory compliance: Building confidence in digital transactions while navigating an evolving European regulatory environment.
  • Leadership and accountability: Understanding why digital trust must become a strategic priority for business leaders.

The forum will feature speakers and representatives from ING Bank, Evrotrust, Cleverbase, ICT Strypes, Vitosha Ventures, Sourcelab and the Dutch Ministry of Defence, combining expertise from financial services, technology, cybersecurity, innovation and public institutions.

The afternoon will conclude with a networking reception, offering participants an opportunity to exchange experiences, establish new connections and continue discussions with experts and business representatives.
