Dutch-based banking and financial services corporation ING Group said that it expects Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 3.3% this year and by 3.9% in 2022.

Bulgaria’s economy is expected to contract by 4.6% in the first quarter of this year, followed by growth of 7.6% and 4.6% in the next two quarters, respectively, ING Group said in its global economic and financial forecast report, published earlier this month.

Bulgaria’s consumer price index (CPI) inflation is expected to stay unchanged at 1.7% in 2020 and 2021, before picking up to 2.2% in 2022.
