Bulgaria’s ministry of defence said on Tuesday it has awarded a 5.2 million levs ($2.9 million/2.7 million euro) construction works contract to a local consortium led by Patstroy-Varna.
The deal was signed on April 13, the ministry said in a notice.
The awarded tie-up will be responsible for the construction of a 10,000 sq m military site, including space for cargo and ground support equipment in Bezmerairbase near the city of Yambol, in the country’s southeast.
According to registry agency data, the consortium comprises Patstroy-Varna with 55% participation and Perfect VSD company with 45%.
The public procurement procedure for awarding the contract has attracted eight offers. Quality criteria carried 70% weight in the overall ranking of the offers.
