Bansko, 12 February 2019 – During the past weekend, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko launched the inspiring Kempinski Concertini initiative in cooperation with the National Humanitarian High School St. St. Cyril and Methodius – Blagoevgrad. Kempinski Concertini is a series of interactive mini-concerts, taking place in the Kempinski hotels around the world. The initiative aims to support and offer a platform for the next generation of musicians to showcase their talent.
The first mini Kempinski Concertini of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko was held on 9 February and featured a performance by a talented young singer from Blagoevgrad, Aleksandrina Mehandzhiyska, who performed some of her favourite songs in four different languages – Bulgarian, English, Russian and Italian. The 14-year-old Aleksandrina is a graduate of the National Humanities High School in Jazz and Pop Singing. She started playing the piano at the age of six and successfully participated in a series of prestigious competitions for children. At the age of nine, she began to sing and quickly won multiple awards in various national competitions. Aleksandrina Mehandzhiyska is also the youngest soloist of Big Band Blagoevgrad, with whom, together last summer, she opened the annual Jazz Festival Bansko. After little Aleksandrina’s successful performance on the Kempinski stage, there is no doubt that the golden age of the undisputed young talent is yet to come.
“I’m very glad we brought Kempinski Concertini to life here in Bansko. This is a global initiative of Kempinski Hotels all over the world, and besides the great opportunity for young people looking for a stage for expression, it is also a great way to provide our guests from all over the world with an immersive brand experience. I believe there are many young talents in Bulgaria who will have the chance to shine on our stage and we will be glad to support them at the start of their musical career,” commented General Manager Natalia Kashishskaya.

The guests of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko will have the opportunity to enjoy many more mini-concerts from the Kempinski Concertini initiative in the future. The concerts will be at the hotel’s Lobby Bar once a month and will be free for all visitors. The next mini-concert will be on 23 March, when a talented pianist from Bansko – Aleksandra Polezhanova – will appear on the stage for young talents. Anyone who wishes to become a part of Kempinski Concertini and to show up on the stage of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is welcome to contact the hotel team vie email: pr.grandarena@kempinski.com.

In addition to Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, Kempinski Concertini events are held at several hotels around the world, mostly recently at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna, Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi, Sunrise Kempinski Hotel Beijing, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik and Kempinski Nile Hotel Garden City Cairo, with more to come in the future.
