Bansko, 28 February 2019 – Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is the proud winner of two new prestigious awards – "Best Ski Resort" and "Best Resort Hotel" from the annual International Hospitality Awards 2018. The official gala dinner was held on Sunday 24 February 2019 at InterContinental Kyiv hotel, Ukraine. The event was attended by over 200 prominent hospitality industry experts, owners and general managers of hotels, and diplomats and journalists.
The International Hospitality Awards were founded in 2011 with the mission of awarding the best hotels according to the performance results and developing a professional and competitive hospitality industry by promoting hotel achievements. This year's ceremony honoured the best 28 hotels out of 126 finalists from 21 countries from Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Slovakia, Moldova, Ukraine, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The winners were chosen in several stages, beginning with a voting panel consisting of an expert board of international jury, and followed by the ratings of the hotels from the online booking system booking.com and the feedback platform Trust You.
Besides the two prizes of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, the International Hospitality Awards 2018 also awarded one more Kempinski hotel. Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras won the award for Best Wedding Hotel. The full list of finalists for 2018 can be found at https://www.facebook.com/internationalhospitalityawards/.

"This year we have double cause for pride, because our hotel won the award for Best Resort Hotel as well, which is great proof that we are the ideal choice not only for winter ski vacations, but also at any time of the year.
