The World Ski Awards 2013 Gala Ceremony took place on Saturday, 16 November 2013 at A-Rosa Kitzbühel in Austria. During this most important evening for the ski tourism industry, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko was recognised as a leader in the market with the award for “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel”. The event was the first ever global initiative to celebrate and reward excellence in the ski hospitality industry and gathered more than 200 ski tourism figureheads and market leaders from North America, Europe Asia, South America and Australasia. General Manager Athanassios Manos accepted the World Ski Award on behalf of the hotel.

Of the 80 countries offering open-air ski areas, the inaugural World Ski Awards focused on the leading 20 nations who are shaping the future of this dynamic industry. Bansko is deservedly among the winners as well awarded as Bulgaria’s Best Ski Resort.

Earlier this year, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko was awarded “Bulgaria’s Leading Resort” and “Bulgaria’s Leading Spa Resort” by World Travel Awards 2013. In addition, the hotel received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2013 and in 2012, while last but not least Booking.com customers gave the hotel an overall ranking of 9.3.
