Bansko, 30 October 2018 – The fully renovated Kempinski The Spa has earned its well-deserved award for “Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Spa” by the 4th World Spa Awards. This year’s red-carpet ceremony took place on a private island in the Maldives in the luxurious The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort on 26 October. This is the third time the spa has been awarded by the World Spa Awards. The online votes were cast by professionals working within the spa and wellness industry and the public on the organisation’s official website. The full list with the winners can be found at https://worldspaawards.com/winners/2018.
The award-winning Kempinski The Spa is one of the biggest and most well equipped in the region. It is managed by the fastest-growing global spa company, Resense Spa S.A., together with around 50 other Kempinski The Spas around the world. The only Kempinski The Spa in Bulgaria has been recently renovated and features unique for the country thermal facilities – specially organised deep digital detox area, a last generation herbal sauna, an infrared cabin, an authentic Finnish dry sauna, an innovative samarium, a designer laconium, exotic adventure showers, a unique snow room, an ice fountain and much more. An interesting fact is that the German company Klafs, who is the absolute leader in the world spa industry, has chosen the spa center of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko for the world premiere of its designer aroma steam bath. Apart from its modern equipment, the immense variety of seasonal treatments, and authentic Thai massages, Kempinski The Spa is also famous for its exclusive cosmetic lines St. Barth with entirely natural ingredients from the famous Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy and Arbū with 97% organic Bulgarian rose oil. In the renowned spa centre, guests can pamper themselves with the Normatec sports system for quick foot recovery after skiing, jogging and physical exercise, which is extremely popular and preferred by the Brazilian football legend Neymar. Another curious fact is, that since August this month the visitors have the unique opportunity to see live and touch a huge Brazilian amethyst that even the ancient Greeks believed to have a strong detoxifying effect and protects against negative energy. The exceptionally beautiful semi-precious stone blends wonderfully with the exquisite decor and the relaxing atmosphere that reigns throughout the spa.
General Manager Natalia Kashirskaya commented: “It is a great honour for us to be awarded as ‘Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Spa’. The prize comes just some months after this spectacular transformation. This international recognition is extremely valuable to us because it reflects the appreciation of our guests for our fully renovated spa centre. We are glad that we were able to impress them, and we would like to thank them for their vote. Our award also contributes to the popularisation of Bansko not only as a world-renowned ski resort, but also as a year-round spa destination.”
The World Spa Awards brought success to several Kempinski hotels. Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul’s spa centre won the “Europe’s Best Hotel Spa 2018” award, as well as the “Turkey’s Best Hotel Spa 2018” award. The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea spa is the best hotel spa in Jordan. Five more Kempinski The Spas have won the “Best Hotel Spa Award” for 2018, including Kempinski Hotel Fuzhou in China, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta in Indonesia, Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga in Latvia, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square Vilnius in Lithuania and Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare in the Seychelles.
