Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is the proud winner of the title “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel”, voted by World Ski Awards, the most prestigious awards organisation in the world ski tourism industry. The official gala ceremony was held on Saturday, 23 November at Austrian hotel A-ROSA Kitzbühel, gathering more than 200 ski tourism figureheads and market leaders from 40 different nations spanning North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. As is customary, the event was part of an interesting three-day programme of gourmet dinners, skiing, sightseeing and leisure activities organised specially for event participants. Among invited VIP guests on the red carpet was PR and Marketing Manager of the hotel Emiliya Kordeva, who had the pleasure of accepting the honorary statuette on behalf of the hotel and thanking voters around the world for their support and recognition.
General manager of the hotel, Christian Ruge, said about this latest award: “We are very honoured to be awarded as Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel for the sixth time. This is an extremely valuable award for us as it is based on the evaluation of our guests from all around the globe, and we sincerely thank them. With this award, we are on the world ski map, which brings additional value to our ski destination, to our product and to the Kempinski brand. Congratulations and big applause for the whole team at Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko for their efforts and great performance. Without them, this wouldn’t be possible.”
World Ski Awards is globally recognised as the leading programme in the global ski sector. Votes were cast online by leading ski tourism professionals worldwide, as well as thousands of luxury travel consumers in a rage of categories, including best chalets, hotels, resorts and tour operators.

This year was very successful for Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko. Only a month ago, the hotel received another international accolade – Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Spa by World Spa Awards, and in the middle of the year the hotel was voted Bulgaria’s Best Lifestyle Hotel by World Travel Awards 2019. Among all these global recognitions, the hotel is also the ultimate winner in the 2019 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards in the categories Top 25 Hotels, Top 25 Luxury Hotels and Top 25 Hotels for Service, in Bulgaria.
