GLOBUL network now offers fast speed mobile data services in 210 cities and popular summer and ski resorts across Bulgaria, where more than 60% of the country’s population is concentrated.
GLOBUL customers in these locations, who have compatible mobile devices and USB-modems, may now enjoy data services at speeds of 21 mbps or higher. The maximum technological data speed of 42 mbps is now available in more than 150 locations.
The expansion of GLOBUL’s broadband mobile network is a result of a recently closed major optimization and advancement project, which was completed in record time and was the company’s first since GLOBUL’s acquisition by Telenor Group last August. Presently, 47% of GLOBUL’s 3G network offers broadband mobile data services under the HSPA+ technology, up from 13% three months ago.
This project was also the first step in the upcoming program for the full technological revamp of the operator network aimed at offering higher quality of service and more opportunities for developing new services and innovative solutions for GLOBUL customers.
