GLOBUL won the Deal of the Year prize at this year’s Mr. & Mrs. Economics awards held by Economy magazine. The award was handed to the company’s Corporate Affairs Director Yassen Guev on the occasion of Telenor’s acquisition of GLOBUL in August 2013. The deal which amounted to EUR 717 million was among the most significant ones on the Bulgarian market last year.
GLOBUL was nominated in the Corporate Social Responsibility category for its contribution to environmental protection and its long-term initiatives in the field. The category was introduced this year and included a total of 60 companies which were selected by Economy magazine team. The winner was determined by users’ voting at the contest website www.economic.bg.
Mr. & Mrs. Economics contest has over 20 years of history and is aimed at distinguishing companies and individuals who have contributed most to Bulgarian economic development and the country’s positive image. Awards are presented in the following categories: Mr. Economics, Mrs. Economics, Manufacturing, Financial Sector, IT industry, Services, Deal of the Year and Corporate Social Responsibility.
